Rules

Welcome at the contest, but before we start you have to read some rules first:

Country Rules

:

You have to choose a country that is not taken yet, you can find the free and taken countries on the page 'EBU countries', so you can't choose a country that is not a member of the EBU

When a contest is finished, the country which was 'yours' will be reserved for you for a couple of days, if you don't send in any data you will loose your reservation for that particular country

If a country hasn't participated in the previous edition, it will be automatically placed in the semi-final. Not the player

Artist Rules

:

The artist has to be born in the country you choose. Small countries (like Andorra) and special countries (like Cyprus) take a look on the bottom of this page

Or the artist has to live in the country

It doesn't count if the artist has roots with another country, the artist hast to live there or he/she has to be born there!!

Song Rules

:

If you want to choose your entry for the upcoming edition choose a song that you think is the best, because after you've chosen, you will not be allowed to change your song

Eurovision entries are NOT allowed, eurovision winners are NOT allowed, songs of the preselections are allowed as long as they didn't win AND they can't be in the running to become the new representative of the country they are in the preselection of.

Songs from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest are NOT allowed

Songs have to be at least 2:50 minutes, and has to have lyrics that exist of more then 20 words

Voting Rules

:

The voting system is like this: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10 and 12 points. You also have to give me 3 reserves. For example if 3 countries in your top 10 don't vote then I will give 3 points go to your 1st reserve, 2 points got to your 2nd reserve and 1 point to your 3rd reserve. You give these points to the song you like the most and not your favourite country not your favourite player

You only have to vote for the countries of the semi-final you are in. The countries in the final will have to vote too. Which country has to vote for which semi-final will be based on the location of the country + if they vote politically.

You can't vote for your own country

Vote within the voting time otherwise you & your country will be DSQ for 3 editions !!!!

Semi-final and Final Rules

:

2 Semi-Finals: The Webmaster and the Big 5 of this contest (the top 5 on the medal table) + the winner of the previous edition will be placed automatically for the final of the next edition! If the webmaster is in the top 5 of the medal table, the country on the 6th place will be placed in the final automatically. The countries that made it to the top 9 of semi-final 1 & semi-final 2 will qualify for the final. Then a wildcard of semi-final 1 & semi-final 2 will qualify for the final. This means that 26 countries will participate in the final. Which countries will be placed in which semi-final will be based on the location of the country + if they vote politically

1 Semi-Final: The Webmaster and the Big 5 of this contest (the top 5 on the medal table) + the top 10 of the previous edition will be placed automatically for the final of the next edition! If the webmaster is in the top 5 of the medal table, the country on the 6th place will be placed in the final automatically.

This means that 26 countries will participate in the Final.

If you haven't voted within the voting time, you will not only be disqualified + loose your reservation for that country, but you will end up in the semi-final of the next edition if you want to participate again

The Winning country of the last edition will host the next edition; so the player has to find a location (city + hall), a picture of the venue, a male and a female host of that country

Host Rules

Every country has the right to host the contes but not all countries have the chance to do so. So I decided to make a new rule, this one:

Every country that wants to bid for being the host of the next contest has to send me a participation mail with the following information:

Country

City

Venue

Female + Male hosts

Theme (like the water theme from the ESC 2006, but you have to give it a name too)

Pictures of all of the above

No limits for how many cities, but only 1 city per country can bid to be the next host, also if you participate to host the contest you have to skip an edition to bid for the host so other countries have a chance too. Send all of this to my email.

And when you win the bid you can design the 2nd logo, which has to match the theme! (so if you use a water theme the logo has to contain water)
