With all 24 competing Eurovisie countries having their say RTE commentator Dominic McDonough had plenty to talk about
In the end ESF 23 turned out to be one of the closest competitions in
years, as last years winner Luxembourg did it again. But only by the
skin of their teeth.
Sylvers song Lay all your love on me bagged only 91 points in the final
voting, not all of them from neighbours. It was a last gasp win however
as up to six countries could have snatched the victory with the final
votes being cast. It was Luxembourg who received 6 points of the final
jury however (Hungary), giving them an absolutely decisive victory on
final night in Germany and the nation's fourth win in the contest.
Trailing second was Finland who will be very disappointed to have came
so close and be pipped at the post by only three points.
Norway who
came third will also be disappointed as they became the favourite in
the betting earlier on.
The score board was so close in the end that only 10 points separated 1st and 5th place and many feel this has been good for the contest as a whole.
Full praise should go to Germany who gave us a fantastic contest and managed a 9th place in the final shake up.
Thoughts now turn to ESF 24 and who will be the next host.
Many
countries withdrew from this edition so we hope that the close and
exciting voting will temp some of them back. Big names like Netherlands
and France are expected to return but others such as Ukraine, Turkey,
Denmark and India face an uncertain future.
Are more members needed? YES!!!

Hi Everyone
Some countries have been deleted because nobody plays with them and otherwise this contest is going to be EUROvision. Some countries outside europe haven't been deleted, they might be in some time but I don't know that.

For the first time ever the ESF is going to another continent, ESF is going to North-America specifically the United States. The USA won the 13th edition of ESF with Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston and their song "". The 13th edition was the first edition with 2 semi-finals and it was a succes.
Also Denmark entered the final for the 1st time after qualifying from the semi-final. And 6 new countries saw the ESf stage; these countries were Mauritius, Channel Islands, South Korea, India, Aland Islands & Lebanon!
Some of them made a very good debut and the other ones, good luck next time.
Now the 13th edition finished and it's time to send an artist for the 14th edition, hosted by the United States in New York! We already received some entries and with those came 2 new countries. Welcome Egypt & San Marino. Also a lot of countries that skipped one or more editions are re-joining the ESF; those countries are Serbia, Malta, Canada, Austria, Italy & Hungary. Welcome again!
We are also looking for some more players to enter ESF. The ESF happily wants to welcome Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Faroe Islands, Gambia, Georgia, Greenland, Hong Kong, Iceland, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Latvia, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritania, Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine, Vatican, Venezuela & Zimbabwe.
And because the news section wa down for a couple of weeks here are the winners of the 10th, 11th & 12th edition;
Winner ESF 10 Malta - Chiara "Angel" - 138 points
Winner ESF 11 Albania - Anjeza Shahini "Image Of you" - 117 points
Winner ESF 12 Switzerand - Vanilla Ninja "Cool Vibes" - 147 points
Keep checking the news section because this will be updated regularly.
